For decades, we have had the honor of guiding thousands through transformational massage training, Kundalini yoga teacher certifications, immersive workshops, and deeply restorative retreats. What began as a thriving center for 12-week massage schools and renowned yoga teacher trainings is now unfolding into a simpler, more intimate vision.

Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini yoga combines powerful movements (kriyas), conscious breathing (pranayama), meditation, and the chanting of mantras. This practice brings balance to the body, mind, and soul. Kundalini yoga helps to build physical vitality and expand consciousness. Also known as the yoga of awareness, Kundalini yoga translates to the “coiled one,” referring to the energy represented by a coiled snake at the base of the spine.

OUr Massage Services

Shiatsu

Involves rhythmic pressure point application along traditional energy meridian lines. Shiatsu encourages the harmonious flow of healing life force throughout the body.

Reflexology

Utilizes pressure on specific points of the feet to encourage a healing response throughout the body. Includes a soothing foot bath and a nourishing closing up massage.

Swedish

Calms the nerves and aids circulation. Smooth gliding massage strokes using skin-enriching oil characterize this profoundly relaxing modality.

Acupressure

Uses light touch applied mindfully to acupoints in formulated sequences specific to the needs of individual recipients.

Integrated

Artfully combines a number of the preceding modalities to create a unique healing treatment tailored to meet clients’ specific needs and concerns.

Myofacial Release

Applies focused pressure to the fascia—the connective tissue surrounding muscles—to relieve pain, improve mobility, and release tension in targeted areas, supporting better posture and recovery.

Hot Stone

Uses heated stones placed on key areas of the body to melt tension, improve circulation, and promote deep relaxation. Includes soothing warmth and a calming massage to restore balance.

Adrenal Bath

A soothing treatment for stress and burnout using a warm herbal oil applied over the adrenals. The steady heat nourishes, relaxes, and supports the body’s natural balance.

Kaya Rejuvenation

Uses herbal pouches dipped in warm oil and swept over the body to energize and restore. Rest and good nutrition are recommended for 24 hours after treatment.

I hereby acknowledge, attest to, and agree to the following items:

I attest that I am choosing to participate in Kundalini Yoga offered by The Yurt on the Mesa with Certified Kundalini Yoga Instructor Sue Beck, Dan Retuta and authorized representatives.

As a pre-condition for participation in Kundalini Yoga practice, I agree to expressly waive any and all claims, to hold harmless, and free from all liability Sue Beck, Dan Retuta, The Yurt on the Mesa, its instructors, officers, representatives, leasees, landlords, and heirs from any risks, injuries, damages, loss, financial liability which might have been incurred as a result of participating in Kundalini Yoga.

I am aware that Kundalini Yoga may require physical, mental, and emotional exertion that may present challenges to participants.
I agree to take sole responsibility for my decision to practice Kundalini Yoga and that I am doing so fully at my own risk.

I understand that it is my responsibility to consult with a health professional/physician. I take full responsibility for any risks, injuries, damages, loss which might result from my participation in Kundalini Yoga.

I agree to make the instructor aware of any health condition or limitation before class and to willingly comply with the instructor’s suggestions in response to any health condition or limitation.

If I have any health condition, I will let my instructor know. Conditions may include but are not limited to pregnancy, pre or postnatal conditions, post-surgical conditions, serious circulatory-respiratory conditions, musculoskeletal issues, or serious injury.

I agree to exercise continuous awareness during each practice and to execute only my true ability and not to exceed my limitations in performing all practices.

I have read, fully understand, and agree to the above terms of this WAIVER AND RELEASE FORM’. I voluntarily affix my signature to this document. I acknowledge that by entering my name below, it serves as complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by law.
